Default Plot Synopsis for Under the Dome

    Hi, Stephen!

Last one and half year I wrote novel «An Alien Wharf» and now I have red Plot Synopsis for Under the Dome. It is very interesting, because I’ve got the same ‘dome’ idea for my «An Alien Wharf» five years ago and that makes me doleful now, because I think I ought to finish my novel before you’ll finished yours “Under the Dome”. In other words we dig up the same dinosaur.

    Yours sincerely,
    Yaroslav Kostuyk

That shouldn't stop you from finishing your story. I am sure that while you and Mr. King have a similar theme, there is no way you can have the exact same plot. Finish your story before his comes out and be done with it. People often times think of similar things, whether its tv, movies, songs, products, etc.

"Under the Dome" sounds an awful lot like the plot of the Simpson's Movie, doesn't it?

I'm actually looking forward to this one. Stories can always be good when you isolate your characters....i.e. the Mist or (even) the Simpsons! Didn't he start writing it a while ago, and it's supposed to have over 1,000 pages?

Yeah you heard correctly, apparently its going to be HUGE. I also agree that its interesting when the cahracters are isoloated, cause you can see shades of htem that you wouldnt if they werent. Like the mist is fascinating to me just cause you see everyone break down and go crazy.

I'm writing a one book "series" called CCCCCCCCC (It was just a working title for my hard drive, and I hated it...but as the story started shaping up it makes sense). One of my sources for inspiration is a black-and-white of a young Clint Eastwood during TGTBATU era. Does that sound familiar?

There's nothing new under the suns, folks.

Even derivative work is complimentary unless it crosses the line of plagiarism. That's for Corporate and Legal to decide a pursuant course of action.

    Yaroslav, finish your book!

    Hi,

I couldn't agree more; one of my favourite and oft-used quotes is George Bernard Shaw's 'There are only five stories in the world and they're all Cinderella'.

Everything from Beowulf through the Arthurian romances, Narnia, LOTR, The Stand, The Talisman and the Dark Tower owe something to Homer's Odyssey IMO (c700 BCE), but that in no sense diminishes them; quite the reverse.

    Long days and pleasant nights

    I agree too.
I mean - every single word that, for instance Steve uses, or any other writer, is in the dictionary.

The trick is in which order they are used to make it a completely new and faboulus story.

And Steve is quite the master in doing just that.
    That`s all.
