Finished Just Before Sunset last night, enjoyed it a lot. But...
Stationary Bike - What stationary bike (sort of a contradiction...) has pedals that can be removed with a screwdriver? Every bike, mobile or still, I've ever seen has pedals that thread into the crank arm with a wrench. On some of the old-style block pedals, one could remove the rubber blocks from each pedal removing the two long bolts, and some trap-style pedals allow one to remove the cage with, usually, allen screws. But in each case, you'd still have the pedal spindle sticking out of the crank arm.
Fun story, but I found myself giggling at removing the pedals with a screwdriver. C'mon Stevie, get down there and check it out before you write it!

had to go and look at mine--they must twist off with a wrench. but the other day i thought the pedals were melting. there were smudges of black under them. got it stored in an extra room, a burper carpet on the floor, and it turned out the smudges were shadows. i do work on the thing and melting pedals is not far from the realm of possibility. i imagine screws and screwdrivers aren't far off, either.
