    Default Stationary Bike Pedals?

Finished Just Before Sunset last night, enjoyed it a lot. But...

Stationary Bike - What stationary bike (sort of a contradiction...) has pedals that can be removed with a screwdriver? Every bike, mobile or still, I've ever seen has pedals that thread into the crank arm with a wrench. On some of the old-style block pedals, one could remove the rubber blocks from each pedal removing the two long bolts, and some trap-style pedals allow one to remove the cage with, usually, allen screws. But in each case, you'd still have the pedal spindle sticking out of the crank arm.

Fun story, but I found myself giggling at removing the pedals with a screwdriver. C'mon Stevie, get down there and check it out before you write it!

yeah, but the froodians had fun wid it! had to go and look at mine--they must twist off with a wrench. but the other day i thought the pedals were melting. there were smudges of black under them. got it stored in an extra room, a burper carpet on the floor, and it turned out the smudges were shadows. i do work on the thing and melting pedals is not far from the realm of possibility. i imagine screws and screwdrivers aren't far off, either.

Maybe that's the point, he probably knows you can't take off those pedals with a screw driver.( who the hell rides a S.B. that much anyway?) Bought one looked at it sat a couple of times and let it get dust bunnies. I should have thought of a painting like the one in the story.

You know what would be stranger than that? If the stationary bike had a wheel that was properly inflated.

Er ... When we're talking about a living painting and construction/road workers who sort of live in you and whose job it is to keep your "roads" clean , bike pedal tooling anomalies seem minimal in comparison, don't you think?

You should change the tire every 10-12 months due to tread wear, and always check the brakes when you do.
