RE: HBO's series True Blood
I received a primary copy of the First-Season from an unknown and mysterious source, and no I am not burning them and passing them on.
But I am digging on it, the slow build of the story, Anna Paquin's tooth gap (I think I'm in love with her now, Rogue, meh), the moral questions, great character dev...everything except the sex scenes.
Oh, and that brunette that shows up and snags Sookie's brother is scrumptuous.
But even still...the noodie bits...are almost like a Lustbader novel, or a 'Conroy-ish' overdescription.
Don't get me wrong, I dig the noodie bits, but when it interrupts the story, NO thanks. I _may_ just easily be distracted by The Nakeds, so all of this is opinion.
Anyone else into this series? I've never had HBO at home so I don't know if this is an international thing. Something to look into, though. I think Season Two starts in a couple months.
Rent the first few episodes from Blockbuster or Netflix. You might like the show. Cheerio!

The new season starts June 14th I believe. If you like the show you may want to try the books by Charlaine Harris I think they're even better, but I really like Alan Ball who is doing the show. I'm pretty sure the next installment in the books comes out like May 5th or something too. Can't wait for the next book, and season 2 to come out.
