What have you found between the covers of a book? Believe it or not, I found a live bookworm!!! Yes, Constant Readers, there are such things as bookworms and it ain't us! Anyone else find a bookworm or did you find something else?

I once found a four leaf clover. Just lucky I guess. I really hope I never find a Bookworm. I have an extreme phobia of worms.
Since I shop thrift shops and used book stores for books, I once found a hardcover SK book with a $10 bill in it. Attached was a note, "If in need, please take me. If not, please pass me on in another book."
Not being in need that particluar day, I placed it within another book in the bin.
My used first edition of the Stand had a postcard for an AFB in Colorado.
Years ago I found a big poisonous spider (Chilean recluse). And I had to kill it pressing the covers of the book... I'm very very afraid of spiders so I threw the book with the spider inside to the trash can.
The other thing I found was a pic of my grandpa when he was a child. An old black and white pic portraying him at school with his clasmates and teacher Frau something or other saluting a big image of Hitler, in the way saying "Heil Hitler!" That day I discovered he was educated as a Nazi even though he was a jew by blood, he told me that when he realized of his true origin he became an alcoholic and suffered amnesia by a week, so he got lost in another city.
I found my husband's great aunt's commencement address (she was valedictorian of her high school) folded up in an old medical book. (Her father was a doctor, and Shawn inherited some of his really cool old medical books.)
I, too, do alot of book shopping at thrift/used stores. I have found cards from Daughters to Mothers, pictures (these are hard on the heart as you know that whomever had the pic loved whomever is in the pic and just forgot that it was in the book!) credit card receipts for the book (I always wad these up and throw them away, even if I don't buy the book, as they may contain CC #'s on them) copies of airlines passes, a dollar bill. I don't believe I've ever found any real live bookworms tho, that would be just too gross for me!!
the only thing i've found between the covors was paper.
