I'm trying to find out if Stephen King had anything to do with the writing on the film "In the mouth of madness" which is credited to Micheal DeLuca. The similarities between said film and 1408 are to coincidental. Or do you think he got the inspiration for 1408 from this.

No, he did not Have any part in writing In the Mouth of Madness. He's a fan of John Carpenter's movies, so it is possible it was an influence for 1408.

In the Mouth of Madness was inspired by Lovecraft, and so are many of kings works.
