    Default The Midnight Meat Train

For those who don't know this is a brutal horror film adapted from Clive Barker's short story from his Book of Blood series.

Directed by Ryuhei Kitamura this film takes us into a place where none of want would ever want to go. So as we begin to follow our main character deeper and deeper into a world of blood, meat, trains and madness.

I haven't seen a horror movie that can compare to this one in the last couple of years. This film also gives birth to a classic horror icon for the ages, Mahogony, played wonderful by Vinnie Jones (if you don't know who this man is, look him up).

There is strong charatcer development which brings us closer to them and so their fates are that much more painful.

The gore is in your face (literally). The suspense brutal. The cinematography is beautiful.

Check it out if you can..

p.s one of the best endings ever.. hands down.

    10/10

I liked this movie for the first half, but found myself losing interest as I watched.

Great premise and potential, but didn't live up to itself (if that makes sense).

The tongue and becoming the person he was stalking. Hells or the demons' butcher. Can't beat that .

Loved it. What ever happened to Clive Barker? Huge Night Breed fan. My fav Candyman still scares me, thinking about me as a kid scared of the mirror.

Wonder why hollywood hasn't jumped at Clive Barkers Super heroes. Like Ectokid. Or make his super heroes into a cartoon.

The beginning of my IT script was a little homeage to Hellraiser 1 my drop of blood brings him out and allows It to get George.

The company thats doing Phatasmagoria. It a art studio put together by Marleyn Manson

The filmakers did a great job fleshing out the original story.
Barker was hoping to do a trilogy of films.

there are quite a bit of his projects in development. Matter of fact, there is a movie based on the short story "books of blood" that is either being filmed or has been filmed already.

By the title alone I never would have watched this movie. However, I saw a preview on another movie I was watching (glad I did not skip over it) and I wanted to see it. I loved the movie. I found it spell binding and the horror was genius. I guess it comes down to the old saying don't judge a book, uh movie by it's title, cover??
