User CP Suggestion

I have 2 suggestions about how to improve our profiles.

1.Why can't we use our profile pictures as an avatar? If someone uses a picture that's not appropriate the moderators can always deny it. I think an avatar should be personal.

2.I think that you should be able to put a link in your profiles 'about you', so that you can link to your homepage or Myspace. There the members can read all they want (or don't want ) to know about you.

Can't provide links to home page or my space etc as this looks like an endorsement by SKMB. As far as personal avatars, Jordan the web master should let you know. BTW, there is a suggestion box for improvements.

My personal opinion from experience on the board, no idea what the staff will say.

1. Not possible. If you are going to allow profile pics as avatars then you might as well open the whole thing up. The point is that it would have to be policed and as far as I know, Ms. Mod doesn't have time to do that.

2. Outside links could almost be considered advertising. However, I don't think that would be the point. Comes down to the same as #1--Ms. Mod can't police it. So lets say someone has a link to elephant porn in their profile. Unless she looks at everyone of them, no way to know. That would present too much work and the risk is too great even if it didn't.
