    Default Angels & Demons

I read this a while back and I remember being truly captivated by this book. The story was so intense and it had much more suspense than Da Vinci.. great story, well-developed characters, and an incredible climax...

    can't wait for the film..

    has anyone read it?

I have read them both! I read The Da Vinci Code first and fell in love! I read that book in less than 32 hours. I could not put the book down. I ended up with a MASSIVE headache, but I literally could not stop reading. It was crazy! I then read Angels and Demons. It was a great read too! I didn't read it near as fast, but I think that I liked The DaVinci Code better.

The movie was great! I think Tom Hanks does a wonderful job! I am looking forward to the Angels & Demons movie too!

    I did.

And, sorry to say, Dan Brown is nothing but a guy who collects religious myths, puts them together and then writes a crappy thriller.

Absolutely can`t stand his overpretentious writing.

I read it well before The Davinci Code came out, and I thought it was really good. I was disappointed in TDC, I thought Angels and Demons was much better written. I am glad they are making a movie of it, but I don't know how well all the connections in the book will translate in the movie version.

I enjoyed the pseudo-historical 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail' after lumbering through Brown's blah 'DaVinci Code.' Movie was also blah, but Audrey Tautou is always delightful.

I enjoyed the book 'Angels and Demons,' though. I'll see the movie, surely as a rental though.

    Hi,
I personally enjoyed both Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code.
There was a lot of publicity surrounding DVC because of the court case in which other writers had accused Dan Brown of stealing work and research about the subject of which the book is based.
There where a lot of authers who jumped on the back of DVC success and wrote in The Religeous Thriller Genre...but I think Dan Brown is by far the best.
I for one await the next instalment...The Soloman Key.

Deception Point is also a very good book by DB. IMO.

I read The DaVinci Code first. It wasn't the greatest writing but the information kept me turning the pages. This sort of thing is right up my alley. After I read that, I saw Angels & Demons at the store and picked it up. I liked it better than TDVC. I will see the movie but probably on Pay-Per-View. The trailer looked good.
