    Default Best Stephen King Ending

Out of every book and short story SK has written.. what would be considered a truly remarkable ending?

I havent read most of his books but from what I have read..

DUMA KEY - definitley had a satisfying ending, when Edgar is drawing and the hurricane suddenly approaches duma key, absolutley wonderful..

CHILDREN OF THE CORN - I love the way the story ended, I don't have the book with me, but the very last line in the book, mentions something about the corn being satisfied.. it gave me chills, I loved it..

GERALD'S GAME - I was flipping the pages so fast towards the end, when she's writing the letter to her friend Ruth explaining exactly who the man in the corner who visited her was, it completley mind-blowing, a mindgasm, truly a satisfying ending.

I agree with Gerald's Game, but I also liked the end of Mrs. Todd's Shortcut! It was a creepy story, but still managed to have a hopeful, almost happy ending!

i haven't read those three books yet (Duma Key, Gerald's Game, and the children of the corn) But i have a Duma key book... i agree that Mrs. todd's shortcut is creepy and lovely at the same time.

First choice would have to be the Dark Tower. Awesome.

Next- Duma Key- as it should be.
    Finally- Lisey's Story - satisfying.

At first, I was not so pleased with the DT ending. (I wanted answers, darn it!) But it did give me an excuse to do another re-read (like I needed one), and it grew on me. Now I don't think it could have ended any other way, though I do like to play out how it might have ended since he now has Arthur's horn.

Other than that, I enjoyed Insomnia's end, although I was sad that it had to end at all.

    Mrs. Todd's Shortcut
    The Dark Tower Series
Hearts in Atlantis (even though the first time I read it I thought that the woman at the end wasn't really Carol but was possessed by Carol. I reread it and had no idea why I thought that was the case. )
