I finally dug my copy out of the garage this weekend. I bought it back in junior high, when it came out, when I was really interested in writing. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed the book, not much of it sunk in, and I didn't stick with writing. I'm 200 pages into the book, and things make a little better sense now that I'm a little older. I've been toying with the idea of writing just for fun, maybe trying to get something published, but mostly just to explore ideas and characters I have in my head. This has to be the most inspiring and helpful book for aspiring writers and even for people not very interested in writing... it will make you want to give it a shot. Thanks from me too, Mr. King.
