Hello everyone . . . Any songs that have special meaning to you?

Just joined the site because I'm a long time fan of Stephen King. Read The Stand when I was 14 and never looked back lol. I'm an outdoor nut, love communing with nature, but I don't consider myself a fanatic tree hugger. I LOVE music and am wondering why, since Mr. King is a huge music fan, there are no music threads here . . . hmmm. Anyway, here is a question for ya'll . . .have you ever heard a song where you really listened to the lyrics and decided that the song either touches you in some way or you just really relate to that song? A recent "discovery" of mine is "Furr" by Blitzen Trapper. Beautiful lyrics that seem to sum up me and my life.

I just posted something similar in another thread. I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me talks about what you might do when you get to heaven. "Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel? Will I dance for You Jesus or in awe of You be still. Will I stand in Your presence or will I fall to my knee's will fall?" It was played at my dad's funeral in April '04 and I haven't listened to it since. Last Wednesday nite, in my church group, we played it in honor of my nephew, John Michael. It's a long story, but it was good to reclaim that song.

There's tons of music stuff, you'll find it, you just have to look a little harder. There's a thread in Chattery Teeth called, "What's your Theme Song Today?" Here's the link.
There's also at least one social group about music. There's alot of stuff to see, hear. Take your time and look around. Enjoy!

There are music threads. Search the various main threads and you'll find these. One song very meaningful to me is "I Just Want to Celebrate" by Rare Earth. I recently had a double lung transplant.

I like Tori Amos. Pretty much anything she writes is spiffy. If I happen to be in an off-the-wall mood, I like to listen to Bjork.

I like Tori Amos too, I love her song "China" Also like Kate Bush and pretty much anything thats different. I have heard a few things by Bjork and I love her inventivness, I should become more familiar with her music I suppose.
