My On Writing cover shows a cellar door beneath a window on the side of a house. Sorry I couldn't help.

Hi,
My copy of On Writing may be a different printing, 'cause there is no sword on my cover (but no matter).
It just says "Rejection".
Long days and pleasant nights
It looks like "REJECTION" to me, but I looked at the cover pictured on Amazon...
To those of you who can't see the note on the wall, there is more than one cover for "On Writing". Check out the Library on the main page.
Hah! You made me look.
What edition of the book do you have? I don't even see the note stuck to the wall -- just having finished the book, I'd think "rejection" like he/she suggested has to be it.
You can see that version of the cover on the main portion of the site. Here's the link. It's in the lower left corner with the More Covers & Posters but you can't read that the note does say Rejection in that image.
My (3rd?) paperback version of the book does indeed have the old "nail in the wall" with the top sheet clearly (if you stare at it a moment) showing "REJECTION."
Me? I wonder about the book on the chair. Could it possibly be a visually metaphoric "**** You" to all his previous turndowners?
