Default Anyone have a favorite paragraph that is best represenative of SK?

It's about my presentation, i was looking at my oral report guideline and forgot i had to do that.

    Please no Dark Tower though.

I was thinking about the last paragraph in "The last rung on the ladder" Or something from Low men in Yellow Coats.

    I have.

    Duma Key
    Dead Zone
    Hearts in Atlantis
    Eyes of the Dragon
    It
    Carrie
    The Long Walk
    Skeleton Crew
    and Night Shift for reference.

Anything you guys remember that stands out?

The last paragraph in IT will be a popular one here, which is my favorite.

    The Green Mile:

"We each owe a death, there are no exceptions, I know that, but sometimes, oh God, the Green Mile is so long..."

The last two paragraphs of Low Men In Yellow Coats. In the book Hearts in Atlantis.

Especially the words "The best we can." This sums up the philosophy in all of the Stephen King books. In every Stephen King book, that is all his characters can do in all of the situations.

Agreed. I think it's one of the best endings to an SK book.

maybe that line about blind willie, early on in hearts, that section of hearts, he's waking up, bewildered, before a shave and a shower.

If alowed I'd do two. Both are in It. When Eddie crawls under the house on Nebolt St. there is a very poetic & beutiful paragraph about being a hobo. Less than a page later when he is confronted by the hobo/Pennywise there is a paragraph that goes into details about the descusting look of the hobo/Pennywise. These two paragraphs show both sides of Stephen King.
