I was tooling around the Internet as I often do and came across this article on Alien Hand Syndrome, which is "an unusual neurological disorder in which one of the sufferer's hands seems to take on a mind of its own." If you'd asked me yesterday if I thought there was such a thing, I'd have said "only in fiction." Just think for a moment about what such a hand could do.

My friends, let us bring to the table the weird, the disturbing, the documented and true freaks and anomalies of this planet. I brought the hand. What say you?

Sort of makes you wonder about Clive Barker's "The Body Politic" from his The Inhuman Condition short story collection doesn't it? If you haven't read it, you should especially after reading this article on "Alien Hand". Ahh what insights have the writer of fiction to the truth of reality!

lol... theres a movie about this. google "idle hands" it was a movie in 1999 about a boy whose right hand becomes possessed and causes him to commit murder... rent it, it's pretty funny!
