    Hi Ms. Mod,

Can you tell us what is going to be contained in this?

I can confirm that they have recently decided to do one but aren't at the point to give out details yet. As soon as we have any firm information that has been approved for release by the publisher, we'll make an announcement.

The last I heard they were putting out offers to readers but I don't think a final decision has been reached yet for the audiobook.

Don't they normally publish the book before any audio books come out?? And is still true that hard cover editions of SK's books be out for a year before the paperback?? Good reading..Mark FFVII

Well I'm taking a wild guess here but I assume the Collector's Edition will have
    1. King's autograph (which is not much for me personally as I'm not that big on autographs)
    2. A slip cover (this is a given, but again, I don't need one to enjoy the book itself)
    3. A dozen illustrations (which, is always a neat little extra depending on the choice of the illustrator picked)
But beyond that I can't think of much else they would add that would get me to spend more than the 35 dollar street cost, though, I am also well aware that there is a large enough bunch of King collector's out there in literatur-ville willing to buy this kind of thing.

This nod (in my opinion) of approval from the publisher (in these long term tough economic times) to spring for such a bonus filled version (whatever the bonus extras might be) of the story means that it's going to be worth it no matter which version you prefer to get and that's always a good thing.

The audiobook has been published simultaneously with the hardcover edition for the past few books and we expect this one to also be released at the same time. Typically it's about a year between the hardcover and paperback release, sometimes a little less.

How does someone become an audiobook reader?

I think I have a good reading voice..

    In the US, yes.

In the UK you can get a full size paperback on the same day as the hard cover is released. I buy the paperback as a reading copy.

Is this an April Fool's thing, or the real deal?
