I just finished this one a couple weeks ago and I thought it was great. It creeped me out so much! I think it's the first King book I've ever read about a place actually being haunted. Not many of his books scare me because a lot of it is not necessarily something that would really happen (at least I thought that anyway), but the whole Sara Laughs being haunted and Bunter's bell ringing and all that just freaked me out because I have had 'haunting' experiences in the past and it is a subject that makes me jump at night noises. I really liked Bag of Bones.

I know I've said something about this before but here goes again:
I first read BoB when it was first published. I was a pretty young kid and while I thought it was good it really didn't pack the punch that other SK stuff did. Just last summer, I picked it up again. I know time changes people, but it seemed like a masterpiece the second time around. A lot of that is probably because of my changes in perception after a decade and a half. Great book.

Well, this book just confirms that SK is an absolute genius! The storyline, characterisation, suspense and feel of place and time are all superb and there is a real sense of impending doom throughout. I think one critic said that when you read SK you just completely forget you are reading - very much applies to this one, literally could not put it down and ended up with a few very late nights! Makes me so grateful that we live in the right time to be reading his stuff.

If you are not sure - you MUST read this book!

    Cheers

Loved it. I'm not so sure about Pierce Brosnan being cast in the mini series though.

After re-reading I was close to making the opinion this was his best novel ever. But realized that's just so hard to say.

Absolutely love Bones, it's in the top five of my fave. It's different than the other books, in a lot of ways. This one feels personal and, in my opinion, sexy. King definitely has a way with words and he uses those talents well in this book. A must-read for any King fan.
