great story! dunno what the requirements might be (# of posts, perhaps?) but there's a social group been talkin' about bones for a bit. click on the "community" across the top there, or follow some of the other trails to it when you can. don't know what the cleveland dispatch had to say about it, or the hundred and fifty others that usually weigh in on the first few pages of some books. does anyone read those things?

I read it when it first came out, and listened to it last year, read by Stephen King.

It's one of my favorites, very suspenseful! It's scary in a more real-to-me way than a lot of his other books.

When you read it, come back and tell us what you think!

Read it a month or so ago, and it's one of my favorites.

Bag of Bones is my second favorite sK book. I literally could not believe how ingenious and fantastic it was. There's so much in it, he covers a lot of territory, but the main draw is how effectively he draws it--that he achieves what he sets out to so successfully.

For instance, there are dream sequences which are very powerful and impressionistic, like dreams can be, but like scary dreams. The underlying story, the reason for what is happening, turns out to be as creepy a concept as I've ever read from any horror author, or any author for that matter.

I've read it and it was great...gets very scary and can be sad also..but it's one the best as always that SK has done..have you read Hearts in Atlantis? try that one..the first part is also the very good movie version..good reading...Mark FFVII

I re-read it probably about 6 months ago. I think I liked it more the second go-round, although it still isn't one of my favorites.

It is in my top three SK along with The Stand and Insomnia. The one thing I will say is it might not be as straight forward a read as some others, but if you like the complexity of books like my other two favs, you will like this one. It was a breathless reading for me almost, beyond page turner. You will certainly enjoy it.
