Default Pennywise - The Perfect Casting Choice

I'm trying to think of what actors (besides Curry) who can protray the evil clown in the upcoming adaptation and only one seems to come to mind..

    Sid Haig

I'm not sure if it's because of his role in House of 1000 Corpses that I'm thinking of him but he seems to be the perfect choice for Pennywise..

I'm not able to here, but can someone post a picture of Sid with clown make up and one without so people who don't know him can see.. thanks

if anyone else has any other suggestion, let it be known..

I hope they do use Curry in the new film but I doubt they will

    michael jackson...no-just kidding!

I really love curry...he really got the clown perfect in my eyes! I dont know anyone else...I hope they dont screw things up using too many special-fx on the clown...

And the scene with george...will they show the whole ripping of the arm part?

Sid Haig does make a very scary clown, but I feel it would be really hard to distinguish him from Captain Spaulding. For some reason, I think Peter Stormare would be a very convincing Pennywise. Also, Gerard Depardieu would probably be quite unnerving as well IMHO.

No, we don't want the movie to be THAT scary.

I am stuck with the mental image of him as the French duke in "Elizabeth". I would be afraid I would watch the remake of "IT" and spend half the time waiting for him to fall over or show up in drag.

For me, Tim Curry is pretty much un-toppable. (Huh, guess that's not a word.)
I can't think of anyone that is as creepy/cool to fill those big red clown shoes.

Exactly because of that movie I`ve mentioned him.
    How did you know ?

Man, was he ever scary in that...

And he was a very mena SOB in " Derailed " with jen Aniston and Clive Owen as well.

Curry might be un-tobbale, but Vincent would be my first choice for todays remake.

IMO we will all be disappointed because they probably won't even use an actor. Hollywood will probably use a big computer monster that is nothing more than a spit in the face of Stephen King.

LOL- Pennywise in a merry widow!

I haven't seen Derailed yet, but I will have to look for him when it is my turn in the queue.
