I don't know if you can call it a cyber romance, although I suppose we did meet online so it counts I guess. My now fiance sent me a really cheesy line on facebook (we're both very alternative) so I admonished him and said surely he could come up with something better, met a couple of days later and just clicked (even though I managed to trip on a cobble stone road and land my bum in a massive puddle of water) , he is my world and we plan to marry summer next year. I think with the lifestyles people lead today, it is far easier to meet online, and personally I would rather sift out the crazies without having to face them than have a bunch of drunk men slobbering on me in a bar (no I'm not conceited, but this does tend to happen, I once had a guy half my height grab me around my waist while dancing and he would not let go) ok I'll stop going on, but there is my take on it

    Cyber Sex?

    Like, in a chat room

    HAHA. CYBER SEX WOOOOOT!!!

Ya kinda gotta be chatting in real time though. IRC minimum. PM's probably wouldn't cut it.

Phone sex is always good too.

I think that you have to be really careful with who you meet. But I'm not against it.

I never had any romance on-line. Because I never have had time. Too busy.

It's hard for me to communicate with people online in such high level of intimacy. I know some claim it's even easier than face to face, that the anonymity creates a false perception of closeness, but I just suspect anyone's intentions, not knowing if they are who they say they are and what are their motives.

May be it has to do something with working online 9-11 hours a day... Knowing all the details makes you kind of skeptical .

i did, but it went all wrong. but two of my best friends (met them both online) are now married with a daughter and have been together for 8 years after meeting online, and my husband's uncle met his wife of many years now online a long time ago too. plus i've made some great friends online, and have met them in person since and it was just as nice. so i think it's like meeting in person - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. it's no different to when we used to have penpals in the past.

A recent encounter has showed me that it's all a crock.

Does it count if you "met" someone online (not a dating site,) and eventually began seeing that person, and we ended up being happily married...?
