I am now just remembering this but around 2005 I went to a play based on King's novel, Misery.
I was so psyched to go and see it and when it was over I was very dissapointed..
All the elements were there, the lights dimmed and there was the bed.. with Paul Sheldon asleep, and then Annie Wilkes came out and the misery began.. BUT .. i'm not sure if this was the director's doing or the actresses own thing but they made Annie Wilkes character comical.. of all things, comical does not come to mind when I think of Annie Wilkes.. but in the end, it had its good moments, it tried to get a little dark... but it wasn't working
this btw, was held at the Biltmore Hotel stage in Coral Gables, FL..
Does anyone know if there has there been any other King novels adapted as a play?
