Long time reading fan

but...new to this site. I am just finishing the 7th book of the Dark Tower. I read the Gunslinger and Drawing of the Three over 20 years ago. About that anyhow. My daughter and daughter in law decided recently that I should start from the beginning and read the whole series. I thank them for their suggestion. It has been a wonderful read.

Until....this morning. I have come to page 812 of the Dark Tower, the next page is 765. I am missing 47 pages. This is a new paper back. The missing pages 813-861 have been replaced by 765-812.

At first I thought it was a writers license, to go back exactly to what had been written before. Fortunately or unfortunately I could remember word for word. That is when I said to self..."hey, wait a minute!" Then I checked the page numbers.

I do not want to skip this part and just continue with the rest of the book. I am a captive.

Can anyone help me with these missing pages?

The store where you purchased the book should replace it for you as this was bound incorrectly.

How stange! I just had to run upstairs and check my copy just in case lol. My copy ends on page 699! I didn't read anything but it looks like it is correct.

How disappointing! By all means, take it back!

I'd call the library and see if another branch has a copy of the book. They can transfer it for you--it only takes a couple days.

I have ordered another copy of the book from the library. I can't imagine how that error got by. Perhaps if someone else borrowed the book they just neglected to inform the library.

Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me here. I have suggested that my daughter come here and she has made a visit. She is a big time, long time fan of Stephen King
