Default If Lud is NYC, where is Dis?

You know Lud from the Dark Tower is New York (and the holder of the Green piece of the Wizards Rainbow). So where is Dis (mentioned in Wizard and Glass), resting place of the orange ball? What is its placeholder in our world? What happened to it?
I'm only asking-you draw your own conclusions. I think it might be either Boston or Chicago. Probably the second one.

It's been awhile since I read that book, I'd have to go back and read it again.

dunno. green=lud. not! hey? so orange=? could ask steven, who told the boys about it. i'm thinking coast, west or east, dunno. the total hogs had the blue for a time. desert dwellers. blue/desert. not! unless it's sky. so orange=? a setting sun, or rising? pretzel logic.

found another clue. in hearts in atlantis, bobby's mom gave him a small flat package wrapped in silver paper. inside was an orange library card. isn't there a blood orange? library of congress maybe, somewhere the stacks.

    Hi,

    Gotta love the speculation.

If green symbolises radiation, sickness, death, which suits with Lud - then wouldn't orange, which symbolises the burning of a person's former self and inner-transformation (in Hinduism), and an aura of stubbornness to psychics, suit with Los Angeles?

Of course, without Sai King's opinion, we will never know. All we can do is speculate.

I've been doing a ton of research into the DT mythos the past 6 month. I could be totally wrong, but Lud is not NYC.

In DT 7, Jake tells the wash boy in the Dixie Pig that NYC is *like* Lud. - "They have video games, man."

In narrative, I think Stephen writes...that even Lud someohow does not measure up to NYC. That all cities do not live up to NYC's greatness. - I tend to agree.

In short, i think that Lud is kind of the "NYC" of Mid-World. Thats about the only way you can compare the two.

PS: Then agian, this mythos is so crazy, chaotic and variable, I could be full of it.
