Check out the movie Elephant by Gus Van Sant. Much more violent than Rage.

It's such a shame that King won't allow it to be adapted. Ever since I read "Rage" I tought it would make a brillant film. Is there any chance of King allowing an adaption of it ? What if he was payed a large sum of money ?

No, he won't allow it to be adapted. It wouldn't matter how much money was offered as that's not a concern for him these days.

That's a shame ... I don't mean to bother you , but: Exactly why won't he allow it to be adapted ? He should be very proud of it ...

He has said that if he had it to do over again, he would not have published it.

WOW ... I wonder why he dislikes it so much. Does he think it's badly written or because of it's subject matter ? ...

It's because of the subject matter.

Thank you, Ms. Mod. If King took Rage off the market, why would he allow an adaptation? Just goes to show that not everyone utilizes common sense, I guess...
