And although I'm not a car buff at all, I do think the Plymouth Fury is one very good looking car. Looks very menacing as well.
As soon as I read the title of this thread, that's what I was going to say. It's a beautiful car and it looks mean to boot. And as others have pointed out, how can you beat the name? FURY! I've wanted one of those cars ever since I saw the movie.

The Plymouth Fury is a beautiful car, but it could look menacing and along with the name POW. Besides I don't think a Model T would have had the same affect, or even a Packard.

My daughter is named Christine. She refuses to watch the movie. So you ask why Steven chose that particular car. I ask why did he choose that particular Name?

does he still own it? He should have the VIN or VID?? number ran and see who owns it if anybody. If I was him I would want that car back if he doesnt still own it. what a great peice of personal nostalgia

yeah i always thought it was just because it was called a Fury, and that cleverly matches the story.

The car in that picture is not a Plymouth Fury.

Thumbs up Re: 58 Plymouth Fury in "Christine", Why that car Stephen?

Hi everyone, new here, love SK books, and some movies! Saw Christine for the first time in 23 years last weekend, and 'she' never ceases to amaze me in how she does what she does! (Not gonna spoil it for those who haven't seen it ) Just an awesome movie, loved it, over again!
Re the '58 Plymouth, Fury, didn't she look awesome when the kid first saw her?
