I think IT is probably the single best example of his work, and most of the people who disagree would say it was The Stand. How'bout if we say those two are the essential ones? If they don't make a Constant Reader out of you, nothing will.

I think Hearts of Atlantis is nice too. I bought mine new for 5 dollars at Barnes and Noble.

I agree with the "all of SK's" books answer. But I think you should get The Gunslinger Born by Marvel. The art is beautiful, and it's great for the collection. You have read the Dark Tower series, haven't you? If not buy the first three books tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's an order from your fellow Constant Reader.
