I have a book called The Stephen King Companion. In this book there is a section that has a book called My Pretty Pony. I have read the story in Nightmares & Dreamscapes. My question is does anyone here have a copy of the Whitney Museum edition?

A similar, but much cheaper, edition was published by Knopf. You can find it occasionally on eBay or ABE. In my opinion, the Whitney Museum edition was far over-priced when it came out--I had the opportunity and money to buy it then--but I passed it up and have never regretted it.

this is a good story. nothing supernatural or horrific about it. the old man, george banning, has some of the characteristics of pulaski. dontcha think? yeah, i think so. like what? well, he watches. he watches his grandson, clive, get jipped by that alden osgood. he has a good saying about instruction, kinda reminds me of the proverbs, from proverbs, something about rebuke a fool or you will be like him yourself, and t'other one, about rebuking a fool is the wrong move...don't recall the specifics, but it's like one of those damned if you do and damned if you don't situations. plus he uses some catchy phrases, "the true north of belief"...and "fock understanding!" and the "poplars start showing their chemises" and some other stuff.![]()
