Default Tales of Beedle the Bard

My husband got me an ornately beautiful copy of this book for Christmas. I find the concept of it's purpose so creative and fresh. It's so childish, but who isn't a kid at heart. Besides, the fairy tale world needs a little refreshing! what do you think?

I've never read it, but the guy sitting right next to me said it was real good! I've only read the first Harry Potter book, so I'll have to form my opinion after my adventure through those books.

Unfortunately I haven't had any extra cash to spend on this, but I'm sure I will get it sometime this summer. I'm really excited to read the stories. Glad you enjoyed it! I'm always up for a good fairytale

I got it for Christmas and finally read it a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed it thoroughly especially Dumbledore's notations.

The Tales of Beedle the Bard... Ehhh... I haven't read it, though I consumed the Harry Potter books. Loved each and every one of them. When I heard J.K. was coming out with Tales I kind of grimaced. I know it was for charity, so I can't fault her for the decision and I hope that it has generated money for the cause, but I kind of wish she would move on to bigger and better. I love her ability to spin a good tale and I'd like to see what else she decides to do. Have you read the stories yet? What are your thoughts on the book?
