I an enjoyed the novella. It was one of my first SK stories, and it was the one that first introduced me to Castle Rock. I have finally gotten around to reading Needfull Things, and I'm loving all the references to Pop Merill and the Emporium Galorium.

"The Sundog" is very good. Actually, everything in Four Past Midnight is excellent, although I'm tempted to suggest The Library Policeman is the best of all.

"The Sundog" is one of the only things King has written which has genuinely scared me. I can see those photos of that dog so clearly in my mind, and I swear I used to have dreams of something like that when I was a little kid. Gives me the willies! But I like it very much.

This one just isn't doing it for me. I'm at the section where Pop isn't having success at selling the camera. I shall persevere, though!

Scared the living snot out of me. I can't remember if I read this one before or after Needful Things... I read them very near to the same time, devouring everything King the local and college libraries could offer me...

I was already afraid of regular, non-supernatural dogs, too...

I finished the darned thing. It was an okay read. But that ending? Sorry, but that was just cheesy.

Did anyone else notice John Delevan puked out of the door of "the old Ford" he had back then when he was telling Kevin the story of how he came to owe Pop Merrill the money, but in the next instance he says he put the money under the mat of "the old Chevy?"

Did they have two cars? Or did the editor miss something?

I luv everytime SK uses the phrase The Sun Dog. Let alone, any astronomical word or phase.
