I watched Survival of the Dead, the most-recent in the Romero series. By far my least favorite. It was laughable it was so bad. The majority of the film takes place on a little island off of Delaware, and yet the majority of its inhabitants had Irish accents. Really didn't make any sense.

The last movie I watched was "127 Hours" with James Franco. It is based on a true story of an adventurous mountain climber who finds himself "stuck" in a precarious situation. Amazing survival story. It does become a little gruesome, but it was worth watching.

Saw this movie Miracle Beach--it's from the early nineties, about this loser that finds a genie lamp on the beach and turns his life around. The movie was terrible (my girlfriend was nostalgic about it--I'd never seen it before), but it surprised me that it probably could've gotten a PG rating, there's no violence or swearing in it, except for a ton of nudity. And apparently you get unlimited wishes, not three.

I recently picked up The Good, The Bad and The Ugly on blu-ray. Of course, the movie is great but on the blu-ray, the film has been restored and it looks fantastic. There was about 20 minutes of the movie cut out for the American release in 1966 and that has been added back in. There are a ton of extras too. This version of Clint is the closest thing you can get to Roland.

If you have a blu-ray player, there is this website I go to that reviews blu-rays. All the movies are reviewed and the quality of the blu-ray is reviewed as well. This site will tell you if you are getting a cheap transfer job or a spectacular blu-ray. I find it very useful if I'm looking to purchase a blu-ray movie.

I watched The Verdict starring Paul Newman last night. Another great movie directed by Sidney Lumet and Paul Newman gave a fantastic performance. It was funny seeing Jack Warden in The Verdict because I remember him as the suicidal judge in ...And Justice For All.
