The Hangover. This was funny and a great movie.
Nine (the animated movie) It was absolutely incredible. I saw the short and loved it and had to see the feature-length film. I was in awe.
I watched The Big Lebowski over the weekend; not the greatest movie IMO even though SO MANY people thought it was great.
I also watched Into the Wild again. A pretty good movie with some great visuals, but I do have to admit I like the book much more.
Finally, my kids and I watched Sharkboy and Lavagirl too. What a fun kid movie! I really enjoyed it and loved all the characters and imaginative story lines/plots/scenes.
I've watched The Ruins over the weekend.. and wasn't that impressed.
Well it was only an hour and a half, so it wasn't all bad
Dark Victory with Bette Davis & Ronald Regan
Love this movie!
"Pursuit of Happiness" with Will Smith -- A feel good story
"Ultimate Gift" with James Garner -- Object lesson, but a really good story.
I watched Quadraphenia last night. Its a fantastic film which portrays the the whole MODS and Rockers scene in Britain from the 60's. Unfortunately I missed the real thing as I wasn't born till '71. But my Dad was a Biker (and still is!) so I heard all the story's of trips to the seaside for party's, girls, confrontation and fighting! (although I cant imagine my Dad fighting!!)
If you have'nt seen it then its well worth a viewing! and the film has a great soundtrack. (The Who)
Some of you will also notice a few very young stars of film and the Music Industry...Ray Winston, Sting, Toyah...and so on.
I saw The Book of Eli the other week. I really liked it. I'm not overly religious, but it had a very good theme to it.
