I saw "Lincoln" yesterday and was highly impressed. Don't expect a lot of action (this is a talky movie about 19th century politics), but it was very compelling and the performances were excellent, particularly Daniel Day Lewis in the starring role.

I'm predicting now that 'Lincoln' will sweep the Oscars next year. Haven't seen it (yet) but judging from the trailers this is one that the voters are going to love.

Watched 'Confession', a 2005 movie that starred Chris Pine (Captain Kirk in the last Star Trek movie). Not the best movie, but it was fun to see such a young Chris Pine and see how he's grown in his acting abilities. There was a surprise appearance from the guy that played Ritchie Cunningham's dad on Happy Days!!

Brave. We got the Blu-Ray Friday but waited for the daughter to come home Sunday to watch it. Really loved it. Boy, Pixar has absolutely got this reality thing down! Merida's hair.... OMG!

Ironic, historically Mr. Lincoln has never done well in theaters. yea yea, ok.

Watched the 1963 (I think) version of Lord Of The Flies. It is very good aside from the production problems like horrible sound.
