Watched Brubaker last night. Good stuff.
Ok, so yesterday ( my movie day ) I`ve watched this movies, some of them for the umptiest time:
Frost/Nixon - superb
Houndog - so, so, could be worse
Marley and Me - light comedy, nothing special
The Brave One - dark, almost brutal movie, fantastic acting by Jodie Foster
Ususal Suspects - a classic
Crash - beautiful movie, if somewhat disturbing how people can be
and started Clints classic " Unforgiven " but fell asleep...7 movies in a row will do that to you...![]()
Rocknrolla, believe I spelled that right. Pretty entertaining.
Transporter 3
Me and my boyfriend watched Role Models - it was actually pretty funny even though it was a little juvenile in parts - I don't really mind that kind of stuff actually - I wouldn't be me if I couldn't laugh at jokes that generally appeal to 14 year olds! Paul Rudd has a sly thing going on that I like, too.
A lot of people mention Mirrors, I saw that pretty recently, too and I was a little disappointed. It seems like it had the potential to be so much better. Mirrors in and of themselves are a good springboard for creepy!
I agree with Srbo. "The Wrestler" (as good a title as any...omit needless words...although I would have subtitled it "Marisa Tomei is Still Hot and Shows Some Stuff) was great. Right before the end, I thought "don't screw this ending up!" And they didn't. I fully did that "yesyesyes" guy thing, and probably cried a little. I definitely cried during some of the earlier scenes. Not so much for the content, but because it was ended perfectly.
I'm not in the industry, what is it called, cinematography? Cameras and stuff? Great.
Rourke? SHAZAAM! He and Stallone must have the same HGH hookup. Mickey Rourke's acting chops are either still great or he IS that character.
I was on some family business (voluntary visit to a "rehab facility" that was eventually turned down [i have another whole book about this thing]) and we rented it on the hotel TV with a great couple of pizzas.
We only had a few people in the suite at that time of the intervention, and the numbers dwindled. I finished the movie.
Everyone has a story. Everyone IS a story. The cool thing is...you get to write most of your story, or at least aim your rudder.
Sheesh, I apparently have a lot of stuff bottled up.
SO THEN,
UNTIL NEXT TIME,
REMAIN STEADFAST FOR OUR HERO!
(this movie brought to you by Berghdiederginson's Frozen Fish)

The last movie that I watched was Payback. I like that movie. A lot. I'm sure I'll watch it again soon.
