Breaking Dawn. Watched it twice, actually. Yes, I still like the movie. The first part was really dragged out, but the second part of the movie was awesome, I was shocked by how great they did it, I was so deeply touched by the ending, I didn't expect it. So, I know that there are many people who hate the saga, but I guess it doesn't matter, I know all the flaws of it, but there is still something that makes me love it.
Quarantine. A very good horror movie, though the Spanish one (Rec) was probably even better, 'cause it is the original movie. But still not so bad.
Trust. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1529572/
A very uncomfortable movie to watch, due to it's sensitive subject matter...it just felt too damn realistic! Extremely well acted, though, and I'm glad I watched it.
Movies like this scare the crap out of me.![]()
Watched Bull Durham on HDNET this afternoon. Still cracks me up after all these years.
We watched The Green Hornet the other night. It wasn't too bad for a popcorn flick. I loved the TV show and this was a good homage to it, though MY Britt Reid was a bit more taciturn. Kato, OTOH.... this guy was terrific! And I want my very own Black Beauty!

Just watched "Super 8". Still processing. I feel like J.J. Abrams took a look at his "Cloverfield", decided he didn't like it, so he shrank it, John Williams-ized it, M. Night Shamalyzed it, fed it through some magic 80's Spielbergian nostalgia machine and out popped "Super 8." The Breakfast Club meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind meets IT. Pretty much way up my alley, just a little overboard with the constant homage-paying.
The last Harry Potter film . . .
I just couldn't get into these movies as much as the books, or I should say, no where near as much as the books.
Oof, I watched a lot of movies.
The new Muppets Film - I liked it, but didn't love it. I didn't really watch the muppets as a kid so it lacked the nostalgia factor for me.
Hall Pass - okay comedy. The pinnacle of Farrelly brothers movies for me is still There's Something About Mary.
The Adjustment Bureau - love me some Philip Dick, and this movie had a cool premise, but I don't think they took it far enough with the possibilities.
C.H.U.D. - Cannabilistic Humanoid Underground Dweller. A cult-horror flick from the eighties. I was a bit disappointed, didn't live up to the hype.
House - Another cult horror flick from the eighties. I liked it quite a bit. Had some humor in it.
I watched Stake Land a couple nights ago. Loved it. Vampire apocalypse a la Walking Dead, with bits of The Stand, The Road, Salems Lot and maybe Cell thrown in. Exceedingly gory, strong character development and acting. Looked GREAT for a low-budget movie, too. Well-chosen locations, skillful photography and editing.
We all float down here.
