We recently watched Insidious and wow did that scare the poo outta me![]()
Art Of The Devil 2- it was crap.
We watched Secretariat.....I loved it..absolutely positively loved it!! ( this is one I will buy to watch over and over)
Switchblade Romance (original title Haute Tension)
Grim psychological horror with similarities to Dean Koontz' Intensity. High Tension indeed.
I went with my mom and brother last night to see Transformers 3. I'm a movie junkie, and Especially a special effects and action junkie and this series is a favorite of mine. Not to mention, it has become tradition for my brother and I to go see them together and he just got back from his 2nd deployment(his 1st in Afghanistan) in time to see it in the theater.
I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 last weekend.
i have just watched the collector and it was so good...so would watch it again
The Tillman Story - A documentary on the death of Pat Tillman by friendly fire in Afghanistan and the subsequent coverup of the details. When you watch this, you realize that it wasn't just the military using this story for their advantage but also the news and other organizations were exploiting his death also. The clip of the congressional testimony with Donald Rumsfeld will make you want to throw things at the TV.
I watched a bunch of movies over the weekend.
The Fighter - great movie, but predictable. It's the performances of the actors involved that elevate this
above the normal sports flicks...at least for me.
Fatal Instinct - a spoof on the erotic thrillers of the early nineties. Terrible movie, but it had its moments.
Larger than Life - love me some Billy Murray, but this movie sucked.
Guarding Tess - boring, not at all as funny as I'd expected.
Tapeheads - starring Tim Robbins and John Cusack, this was my least favorite movie I watched this weekend.
My Bloody Valentine 3D - starts off very promising, but just ends up the usual horror fare, with lame actors and a lame ending.
Night of the Comet - decent eighties horror flick, some interesting scifi aspects, but overall left me disappointed. I'd heard good things. Oh well.
Tideland - Terry Gilliam flick starring Jeff Bridges. This was a weird, morbid thing, and I still don't know if I liked it or not. It was definitely upsetting.
Anyway, I think that's all of them. I actually didn't sit home all weekend watching movies, just Friday night and then Sunday afternoon. Saturday I climbed Mt Monadnock (which really sucked), and then went swimming.
