Richard Kelly lovers

Richard Kelly has written and directed two films, Donnie Darko and Southland Tales, and in my opinion one of the best 21st century film directors in the world.

This year his new film, The Box is released. It is based on the story Button, Button by Richard Matheson and i thought i'd post something about Mr. Kelly for others who like his work as much as i do.

So what do you think of him?

I think he's one of the most unique visionary director's of our time, hands down.

I've been waiting for The Box for quite a while.. can't wait.

Ill wait till the box comes out to really make a decesion. I thought that donnie darko was a very unique take on a person that has super powers. S.Tales, one thing that I thought was really great about it was the comics that was written to serve as a 3 parts of the total story.

I am a HUGE Donnie Darko,director's cut fan-and of the original of course, I have a signed collected hardcover book of the prequel to Southland Tales and can't wait for the Box. He is ingenious,very individual,and always unexpected turns and connections await one in his works. The meter,and use of "Black Flag" generation 80's and Moby's work on Southland Tales music drives his films in a strange surreal way. Glad I'm not alone with The Richard Kelly Syndrome. i love donnie darko and i'm a huge matheson fan so this movie works for me. gotta find the old twilight zone episode now.

I just finished watching Donnie Darko a few minutes ago. Great movie.

I've also read I Am Legend by Richard Matheson and thought every story in there was excellent.
