Robert Jordan. It's a pretty long series, and the guy can talk. It takes a little bit to get into the books, but once he has you, you're completely hooked. I hear that someone's making a movie on the series soon. I pray the'll do it justice. I wish King had it so lucky.

I guess I'll have to add Robert Jordan to my Check It Out list. Thanx!

I love that series! I've read it through several times. It's a shame the author died before he finished the last book.

I was considering looking into this series. But thanks for the info. I don't want to get into a whole series of books when the author didn't even finish the series.

I've read five of the books, and it well worth the effort. Apparently the had been dictating the final parts of the last volume to his family, so there is supposed to be a proper end to the story.

I started reading them a long time ago when I was in ninth or tenth grade. I think I got to the fourth book. I enjoyed them, but they were so long, and with school and other books I wanted to read and had to read, I never got past the fourth one. I was considering reading them again, but if there isn't going to be a final book, I may not.

On another note though: *cough* another writer I'm a big fan of *cough* took a VERY long time finishing his series... And I was very worried that there would be no end for a while, I'm glad to have them all now though! Thanks, Stephen!

That is a bummer about Robert Jordan though, for all the people who were waiting on a final book.

My wife has read the entire series. On a few of the books she'd start reading early in the morning and would read 12-16 hours straight to get through the entire book.
I haven't checked lately, but Jordan's family picked a writer to complete the final book. The dragonmount.com website reported it would likely be published in the fall of this year.
