    Default seeking permission

hi. I know stephen king doesn't accept the exercises from On Writing anymore. I actually wrote a short story based on an example he gave in the book. Do I need his permission to submit the story for publication? And if so, how do get it?

No, his permission is not needed. There have been others who have requested this and he's had no problem with their doing that.

is there anyway i can say thanks to him? the bunny with the number 8 was an amazing archaelogical find. lol. i would have never dug it up if he hadn't started to unearth it first. i would love to send him a copy. he doesn't have to read it or anything. i just feel as if i owe him for that one.
ps if you know how to contact him, tell him it wasn't an 8. it was an infinity symbol made out of black fur.
    thanks.

No need to send him the story. He does come to the Board on occasion to read posts, so he'd be able to see yours.
