Does anybody know why The Stand is suddenly no longer available on Kindle? Thanks in advance!

I'll see if I can find out and perhaps I can also get information about dates for titles to be released in Kindle format that are not currently available.
LOL! Everytime I come here to ask a question, it has been asked.![]()
There might of been a format problem. When someone reports a format problem, the book is taken down, reformatted, and then put back up. Its not an uncommon occurance. In the mean while, Im glad I grabbed mine before they took it down.
While your checking, can you find out why It hasnt been released for the Kindle?
I'm new to the forums - came to find out where "The Stand" went from the Kindle Store! I downloaded a sample a couple of weeks ago, and when I click "Buy" on my Kindle, a note comes up stating "Not Yet Available."
Major disappointment, as I planned to read this on vacation next month. Hope it returns to Amazon in Kindle format......
I read ALL of Stephen King's books that he had written, as of about 20 years ago, and have rediscovered my love of his writing! I'll be doing some MAJOR Kindle downloading of his titles now, but REALLY want The Stand as my #1 selection. I should have "pulled the trigger" last week...
Big "tizzy" over at the Amazon Kindle forum--The Stand (and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy) are not available on the Kindle anymore. Hopefully just temporary--anyone know why? Of course, the end result is everyone is scooping up all of SK's kindle-versions as they can.
I don't know what the problem is either with The Stand. I downloaded The Stand last August when I got my Kindle and as of last night, it still worked fine. But you're absolutely right about "scooping up" all of the available SK books. I was 2 or 3 shy of having them all until last night. After I read this post, I downloaded the rest... You never know!
I just started reading The Stand today on my Kindle (got it just 2 days before they took it down). I've noticed only one thing in the formatting so far - there is a 1 instead of an I, but other than that, I haven't noticed anything that needed to be 'reformatted' per se. I've only read through 'Part One' though, so I can't speak for the rest of the book.
As for people scooping up SK Kindle editions, maybe that will be the boost in sales that will light fires underneath the Publisher's and get them to expedite the conversion of the rest of the SK library onto the Kindle.![]()
LOL - I downloaded 6 SK books last night, and another 3 tonight (plus both of Joe Hill's!) - my wife is already reminding me "not to go overboard!"
I'm trying to pace myself, but don't want to miss out on other great SK books!
Please post any information about when I can again d/l "The Stand" - really regretting not buying before.....
