I've been seeing this movie in my netflix recommendations for weeks now and thought the description made it sound kind of lame. However, now that I've read the story I'll probably give the movie a chance, though having read reviews of it I'm not to hopeful. Can't believe they made it into a trilogy...I wonder if King had any say in that. I mean it's a decent idea but 3 movies would be beating it to death IMO.

Hey everyone. I liked this story a lot because, being an English teacher myself, I could totally relate to what the narrator says about classroom atmosphere, etc. I especially liked the part where he says how teachers are 'on-stage in front of the toughest audience in the world, and how they have more ulcers than any other profession, apart from maybe air-traffic controllers'... So insightful!

Just read this story yesterday. It's one of my favourites in the book. It really made you wonder how he was going to over come his demons.
