I am poor, so I cannot give money to those in need. I would return a wallet, or anything you lost. I believe I am adding to my good karma by being nice to people in general - by speaking with kindness and compassion to those who need it, by making you laugh whenever I can, and by giving you a hug (or even just a touch) when you need it. This is just my nature. Acts of kindness need not be grand gestures. Sometimes a smile shared with a stranger can cause a ripple effect that touches the lives of many others.

I try to live my life in doing what I can for others, whenever I can.

I've always believed if people would help those beside them if just a little, the world would be a much better place.

Do what you can for "the other person". Even something small.

Pay it forward and you keep moving forward.

I know how you feel. I have a special needs daughter and you often worry about people taking advantage of them. It is nice to know the scary looking aide was being nice. Been there done that sooo many times. Hang in there

I recently hired a from Africa to work as a health tech at the facility were I am employed. She has only been in the United states for a year and has no family or friends other than her brother. She was not getting along with her brother and she moved out of his house with only the clothes on her back and her 6 year old daugther. One day during a conversation she mentioned that her daughter loved to watch american cartoons and that one day she hoped to get her a tv. A few days later I got a couple of my friends from work to help me take my giant 27 in televison to this women. (It was not a plasma by anymeans and we have tv's in almost every room of my house)She was very greatful and I must admit it made me feel good to help someone in need in these troubled times.

so here's a funny one for you. i live about 10 minutes out of san francisco and every time i cross the bay bridge on the way in to the city i always pay for the person behind me in line for the toll bridge. this is a tradition taught to me years ago by my dad and i do it every time i cross a toll bridge. the only rule is that you have to pay for them and then go like hell so they can't catch up and say thank you. it's totally fun but kinda dangerous at the same time, anyone who's ever crossed the bay bridge can attest to that. anyhow, last time i went to the city i paid for both tolls and did my best steve mcqueen and damn near sideswiped a car. i got my self straightened out and noticed that my near miss was no ordinary car. it had a very distinct black and white paintjob and some odd lights attached to the roof. the driver looked quite stern and actually had, if you'll believe it a shotgun jutting up from the floorboard. alright, it was a cop. so here i am with my eyes bugged out of my head and every item from my visor and my dashboard spilled in my lap and wind plastered to my upper torso thinking i'm totally ska-rewed when i look over in time to see the cop mouth " a**hole!!". before i had time to even register this i hear tires screeching behind me and look in my rearview only to see the car who's toll i paid almost rearend me. i don't ever expect any good karma from this game but it would be nice not to get killed or arrested in the process. in any case i made it into san francisco without further event and had a pretty good evening, as well as $28 parking ticket.

Terribilini , funny story, Smooth Operator, i agree with you, any act of kindness whether i be a prayer for a friend or someone you don't know is great. I pray for the health of my new friends here on SKMB and always for peace and good will. A little more of this would make the world a better place for all, you keep on being kind , a hug a smile goes a long way.
