    Default UR - Kindle

Very disappointed to see the new novella is only going to be in this format. Mr. King there are many of us out there that love the written word in a BOOK to savour and lust after. Please, please I only want to be your Constant Reader!

That isn't entirely accurate--please take a look through the threads already started about the UR story. Steve will have the ability to publish this as he sees fit when the exclusive rights with Amazon expire so you may have to wait if you don't have or don't want to download it to a Kindle, iPhone, or iPod Touch (all of those devices can be used) but it won't be forever.

I'm fortunate enough that my wife gave me a Kindle for my birthday last year. I read UR a couple of weeks ago. Loved it. I can't wait for others to have the opportunity to read it so the dialogue can begin...

I too prefer the book format. So wait I will...I am sure it will be worth it. Mr. King has never let me down.

I'm responsible for stocking the fridge with the beer... Have to be careful though, too much beer in one setting ruins the possibility of understanding anything I read on the Kindle. LOL

I am so glad that you mentioned it can be done on the iPhone. I was bummed that I couldn't read it without spending the extra money for a Kindle, but I do have an iPhone! It's awesome that you can do it both ways and the download/buying process was incredibly easy.

I, like most people here it seems, still prefer paper. It feels like fanfiction to me when I read electronically - it's too close to self-publication and blogging. I think it's cool though, that Steve is into trying out new technologies and types of publishing. I thought the video releases for N were interesting too. Bring on the future!

I just finished reading UR, and I think it's one of his best short stories yet. It's worth putting the extra money in to be able to read it. You can always get a cheap/used ipod touch which would cost less then the Kindle and be useful for music. When you read the story, you'll understand that it makes more sense in this format than it would on paper.
