Default Twitter -- Yea or Nay?

I'm intrigued by Twitter. I have no desire to know what Ashton Kutcher is eating for lunch or stuff like that. But several journalists that I watch are on it and I'm thinking of joining. Anyone have any feedback to help me decide?

I work with a guy who loves it. I just have never gotten into it myself, as (moderately) geeky as I am.

I'm not on but I have heard it can be quite addictive.

I find it strange that we want to know what other people are doing 24 hours of the day. I'm with you on the Ashton thing or any other celeb not interested one bit what they are doing as I'm sure they wouldn't be interested in what I was doing.

If you feel you are going to benefit from it , by all means, join...you can skip Ashton's eating habits, right?

No Twitter here, my days are so dull I wouldn't even want to read them.
