    Thumbs up Women

I think that I have figured out why I love to read Stephen King so much. Besides the stories it's his way of treating the females in his stories. Even when they start out weak they grow strong. Mr. King is a man that must like & respect women.

    Thank you

You may be right! I have never really paid attention, but now that you mention it, I see what you are saying!

I think you're exactly right about this. I suspected that he really likes and respects women from his fiction, and when I read "On Writing" when he shares about his mother and about his wife, I was convinced.

Not a whole lot of "victim" mentality among his female characters, which I so appreciate.

I agree with strong women in his writing, Annie, Dolores, Susannah, Detta. Whether good or bad they are tough.

Ya, I definitely agree with that. Donna Trenton was one of the 'heroines' I've grown to like over the course of reading Cujo, she's not perfect and she does have her flaws, but she rises up in the midst of adversity.

    Yep.

Mrs Carmody is a perfect example.
