I thought it would make a good movie as soon as I got done reading it. John Malkovich for Blaze IMHO.

Hey Frizz, I forgot how much I loved that little puppet from Oeiseaux (spell?) in your avatar. Simply adorable video.

I think Bill Fagerbakke (m-o-o-n, that spells moon) would be great for this part as Blaze.

I enjoyed the book myself, and i think it would make a good movie. (always depends on who's making it though.)

After I've finished Blaze I start to think that movie of Blaze would be great. I just love the book. It only take a week to read Blaze.

If they stick to the story (not hard) it would be a hit, and I would love to see it.

As for actors, someone's suggestion of the guy who played sandman in spidey seemed a good choice. I mean, he kind of has the look of a dumb brutish sort of guy, which is Blaze. Vince Vaugn might work, too.

And for George, even though this guy is probly too old, I always pictured Joe Pesci (Harry) from Home Alone. I don't know why.

Couldn't agree more, but it would have to be done right

The whole time I was reading Blaze, I pictured Blaze and George in my mind as Joe and Ratso from Midnight Cowboy.

Of course, Voight and Hoffman are too old now. Vince Vaughn might be able to pull it off....hmmm...food for thought.

If I were making the movie adapation, I just grab a cast of unknowns to do it. Fresh faces with a decent budget would make the film a hit. Whenever they cast big celebrities in these roles, too much expectation comes.

xactly LadyLyn...if Blaze is decided to be a movie, I hope SK has a key decision in who will be the characters, etc.
