Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm looking for help. Could you please name a brief list of the American greatest authors? (of course we all have Uncle Steve in our hearts, but I have to point out to someonethose -you may say- classical/former authors). I'm aware of William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, JD Salinger, Mark Twain, and I've read some stories -you may say "classics", perhaps for teens/women as those books from Louise May Alcott, Harriet Beech Stowe... I'd be happy if you could lend a hand on this matter. For me, Uncle Steve is a classic,
but I'm sure our SKMB-tet will be able to throw some names, and no one will take this question as offensive. Even I read a lot, I'm not a connoisseur on the matter. Thank you!
