    Default Huge Collection?

    Hi,

I am busy collecting all the Sai King novels and am dreading the end where I will have read them all. I know I can re-read, and know I will most likely do so with most of them, but I need another huge collection.

King has written over 50 novels and short stories and I love all of those I have read. Peter Straub doesn't have such a huge collection, but am looking forward to reading all of his stuff when I can.

What I want is an author who writes near the level of genius King does (because nobody can be as good as King ) and has a large collection of roughly the same size.

    Please, and thank you.

    Long days and pleasant nights.

Depends on the topics your looking for, Sci-fi, Thrillers , (CSI, FBI, ETC.) The early Patricia Cornwell are very good (Scarpetta) , Tess Gerishen, Alex Kava many more. You came to the right place , everyone here has an author they love.

Both Kellerman's (Jonathan and Faye) are good. They seem to publish pretty steadily.

    Hi,

Well, dare I say Dean Koontz.

He fills the bill on two scores 1/ he's not as good as Sai King, and 2/ but he's certainly prolific.

Whether you enjoy him or not is down to a subjective value judgement.

Personally I recommend Terry Pratchett (start with The Colour of Magic).

Or maybe Robert Heinlein (try Stranger in a Strange Land).

    Long days and pleasant nights

Michael Crichton...though not as prolific as Sai King......Ramsey Campbell is a prolific horror writer.....I enjoy his work...

I must agree with the wise and wonderful John Dalglish.
    Robert Heinlein!

And may you have twice the number.

    I'd say Koontz and

Robert McCammon although he has quite a deal less published, possibly because he was on a hiatus for 10! years. When I was reading a new King or Koontz I was happy but he was definitely missed and those 10 years seemed to stretch on forever.
