Hi,
IMO by far the worst ones are the ones which really weren't Sai King adaptations at all, but just traded on the name, like Carrie 2, Children of the Corn # Ad nauseum, Pet Semetary 2 and of course the appalling Lawnmower Man.
Long days and pleasant nights
Well i thought Pet Semetary was thoroughly boring and 'It' was by far a disapointment, i thought Cujo was okay though.
Matthew.
Hi, i agree with JD'S post but my all time pet hate has to be Dreamcatcher..that film disappointed me on so many levels, just wrong IMO.![]()
I didn't dig The Dark Half or Needful Things
I thought the TV adaptation of "Thinner" was the worst ever.
Considering the brilliance of his books quite a few of the adaptations have been a let down, or maybe thats why.
For me the worst though has to be The Graveyard Shift.
On another note has anyone seen Desperation yet? I'm keeping an eye out for it as liked the book.
I'd have to disagree with most of the posts. I have enjoyed almost every adaptation, but I'll have to try and stay away from the whole "You have to forget the book and just enjoy the experience arguement" because it is never convincing. The fact is... The stories are so good that I enjoy seeing an interpretation of them even if they are a little marred.
That being said... My best guess is that the TV adaptation of "Thinner" was the worst ever, but I'm no expert because I haven't read the book. I just disliked it a lot.
^-- A walking, typing contradiction I am.
