I just got the Talisman and the Shining? Which one should I read first?

I am in a deadlock here, I have heard good things about both. Which should I read first?

I enjoyed both immensely, but I would pick The Talisman for sure. It was one of those books I literally hated to put down for any reason!

The Talisman is awesome. I'd definitely recommend that one. I'm also from Virginia way down to the south east in Virginia Beach. Nice to meet some Virginians.

I'm going to go against the grain and state that I'd start with the Shining. It was the first book I read by Stephen King. Additionally I loved the Talisman, but you will want to have Black House to read after as they're a duology. Either way enjoy

The Shining was the book that got me hooked to King so i would recommend that one.
