Stephen King Bashing Stephanie Meyer?

I found an Article with stephen king bashing Stephanie Meyer. I for one think it is amazing for stephen king to take on such a popular author. I praise him for it, and agree with him completely. Any other opinions? I'd love to talk.

As a fan of Stephen King for about 35 odd years and a reader of most of the books he's published over the years, I have to say I am really disappointed in his behavior. I really thought he was classier person than this. I am aware that everyone is entitled to their opinions, but to feel the need to do so publically is embarrassing. He has given a new author a lambasting I'm sure he wouldn't of appreciated when he was starting out.

I can understand where you come from when you say that. He really shouldn't of acted the wa he did, but nontheless, I do feel his opinion is correct. He could of said it in a more...subtle (sp?) way...

Before jumping to conclusions, you might want to hear all of the story. The piece that was posted was extracted from a longer interview. Steve answered a question by the reporter. This was not a case of his taking the opportunity to single out and bash another writer.
