I thought it was great! If not for this novel I would have never met my husband.

The begining was really difficult to get into as it was just about Bobbi,The Ship and Gard, I was left thinking to myself when does it get to the freaky parts that SK has promised me .. when do people start freakin' out?? As soon as the town comes into play I wasn't disappointed ... really well written and a really good ending in my opinion
I'm reading it now, but having a tough time getting through it.
I'm about to re-read it for the first time in over a decade. I'm thinking I'll have some new perspectives on it.![]()
Love it!!! It was my very first SK read so many years ago. It changed me (in the best of ways). I'll always remember that black and bright green paperback.
One of my favorites. I'm currently rereading it for the 4th time. I'm up to the point and it's just as compelling to me as it was the first time I read it. And Gard is such a wonderfully flawed character! There are no legitimate reasons to root for this character (he's a drunk, he shot his wife, he screws over every friend he has), but I still find myself liking him.
It's been about a year since I read the book, but I remember liking it. My favorite part was when that womans dolls (can't remember her name) started to talk to her.![]()
Reading the tommyknockers now about 320 pages in I already love the book. It's pulling me along with the story just like IT and The green mile did. I just zone out when reading it and I even got emotional at some parts! Can't wait to get further into the plot!
I loved parts of The Tommyknockers, but agree that it occassionaly seemed to ramble a bit. Something I did enjoy was the heavy use of continuity elements, his referencing other characters we were already familiar with in other stories. I enjoy that ... it's like being in some "secret club", lol.
